The time has come for us to discuss the uglier and often darker side to our education. I’m referring to the violence and devastation that is a regular occurrence on Earth.
I have avoided this topic for as long as I could, for reasons that should be quite obvious. It's just not a pleasant thing to talk about. I did have plans to discuss a different topic next as well, but 'the powers that be' encouraged me to address this one next instead. There is a reason for everything. So, here we go…
None of us like to admit it, but we as human beings are capable of some pretty heinous things. I know someone reading this right now is thinking: “not me. I would never hurt a fly!” But I beg to differ. Maybe you haven't hurt anyone in this lifetime, but I would bet anything you did something pretty rotten to someone else in a previous one. We are all guilty of doing something horrible to someone else. This is a hard thing to admit, but it is a fact.
Whether it was verbal or physical, on purpose or by accident, there are so many ways to cause another person harm and none of us are innocent. Even the kindest of souls have made mistakes. I have done it too. There are times on Earth where we are backed into a corner with no other option but to cause someone else harm. The saddest part comes from those individuals who seemed to enjoy inflicting harm unto others. It’s always disappointing when this was the case.
But why would this even exist in the first place? Why must we suffer poverty, natural disasters, diseases, or abuse by the hand of someone else? What do we learn by inflicting harm on to someone else or by being on the receiving end? Lots. Let’s dive in a little more…
First, Why would any of this even exist on Earth?
Earth was designed to be a place of extreme exploration. This means that we will end up experiencing both extremes of whatever lesson that may be on the table for us. Our first and most obvious example of this would be the sun rising in the morning giving us light all day, and then it setting in the evening, bringing about total darkness. If only one part of that existed how would we truly understand one without the other?
I would like to make one thing clear before I continue. I don’t like any of this either. I would love a lifetime on Earth where I experienced nothing else but the most pleasant things possible. A world full of peace, and happiness, where everyone has plenty of food and love. Where everyone was kind to each other the whole time and no one ever did anything wrong. This has yet to happen for me either.
Why must we suffer poverty or abuse by the hand of someone else?
We cannot truly understand peace and love without experiencing violence and hate, and this was the intention. 'The powers that be', want me to make it clear that the point of a lesson of that extreme was not intended to 'mainly see us suffer'. It was intended for a whole other purpose. For us to learn from, and rise up above such a situation. So we hopefully make better choices and become that better version of ourselves we set out to become by coming here in the first place.
Yes. This experience was designed for us to become better versions of ourselves and to give us better skills in so much more than we could ever imagine. All of those little things we always thought we could never do, by experiencing a lifetime on Earth we then discover that we could all along. This was always the intention.
As soon as you understand that whatever you may be experiencing is a lesson in life the faster and easier you will get past it. I do understand that this will be a hard pill to swallow but there are benefits that come from dealing with the bullying, poverty, and violence that is a regular occurrence on Earth.
It's all in how we handle what happened, especially after it is over. It's never fun to be on the receiving end of someone else's horrible actions. An experience that harmful can be very traumatic. Take as long as you need to process and heal, just don't let whatever happened take over and consume you. There is a sense of pride that comes when we don't let what someone else did ruin our life. Like that phoenix that rose up from the ashes after the fire, you become a better you. This was always the intention too.
What could we possibly learn inflicting harm on to someone else or by being on the receiving end?
Here are a few examples,
When we are mean to someone else we learn that the results from those actions are not always that pleasant. We also learn we are capable of anything. Especially things we never thought we would do.
We also learn how it makes us feel when we hurt someone else. Sometimes, you had no choice in the matter. The military comes to mind. It will never matter how much you believe in something. When you take another human life (no matter the reason) it will affect you. It can, and will totally change you, making you question whatever it was that you believed in that ever put you in that position in the first place.
Being on the receiving end of violence and/or bullying teaches us, strength, perseverance, gives us survival skills, compassion for family and often brings about unity. It tends to shape us into a well rounded person with such empathy for others. Sometimes that empathy extends towards the one that caused us harm.
Natural disasters, like volcanoes, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. have a lot to teach us as well. They remind us how precious life is and how fragile it can be. They also teach us that we have no idea how long we have here. Life can be short and these situations are a reminder to live in the present.
These are just a few examples but there is so much more to learn from just about every situation than I could ever list. Your lessons are tailored specifically to you. You will get out of the experience whatever you were meant too.
So, Is there no hope for life on Earth?
Of course there is. Everything we experience on Earth starts and ends with us. Every single choice we make results in a certain outcome. So, when presented with a situation negative or positive the choice you make will ultimately cause a result. Yes the path in our life is set but it's direction is controlled by our choices. So, the better the choice you make, the better your life and quite possibly the better Earth will become. We have the ultimate say in how life on Earth could be. Controlling our own actions sets an example and causes a ripple effect, teaching others that there is another way. We have the power to change it all and make Earth the best place it could possibly be.
Despite everything that is going on in the world today, I do love this place. I love the people I meet and the situations that arose that caused our paths to cross. I live for the surprise's and the thrills and rising to the occasion of whatever the Devine decided to throw in my direction. I refuse to buy into the idea of Earth being a horrible place with no hope in sight. There is always hope here, as long as you remember what we talked about in this post. We will always find the light after the dark.
We have the final say in what happens on Earth.
